What a treat, weather in the 60s in February! We were spoiled for February Vacation, unless you like to ski that is. To take advantage of the gorgeous weather I planned a few local trips for vacation. First up, a day trip into Boston. I go into Boston all the time but sometimes it is fun to act like a tourist in your own city. My friend and I decided to make a trip to the Museum of Fine Arts. There was a special exhibit on the book, Make Way for Ducklings which happens to be one of my favorite children’s books. How could I […]
Design Museum of Helsinki
Of all the museums I went to while in Helsinki, the Design Museum was by far my favorite. It is a small museum but it packed quite a punch. Since I will be on my own for the first few days, it gives me a chance to wander the city with a loose itinerary of areas I want to explore and museums I want to spend hours rambling through. I have divvied up activities and planned […]

First and foremost we had to make our way to our hotel. The information desk lady at the airport recommended the metro as the most efficient way to get there. So we paid our fare and stumbled on to claim seats since the luggage outnumbered us between carry-ons, backpacks and luggage. The way we […]
