I can’t believe it’s finally here! Time to get out of dodge and hit the open road. I have been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for this trip to South Africa for almost a year, but now that it’s finally here I can’t believe it!
Not only am I beyond thrilled to be spending two full weeks in South Africa, but my friend, Christine and I even snagged some bonus time in Germany. I mean, when you’re looking for the cheapest flights possible, sometimes you have to do an eleven hour layover. No complaints here, since it will give us time to check out Frankfurt and stretch our legs between the ridiculously long flights.
This is truly the trip of a lifetime. It will be my first time to Africa, cross the sixth continent off my list and take me to a part of the world I have never seen before. There are so many things I am excited to do and see while I am there.
This trip is also my chance to jump back into blogging. While it has been nice taking a little break since the end of the school year, I can’t wait to share my experiences with everyone. I can also pretty much gaurentee I will be itching to write another small informational book for students about South Africa and a specific one about Safari, once I get back.
