New Year, New Adventures

Bring on 2016! I am so excited for the new year and all the new adventures that come with it. My travel list is already filling up, and I am sure there will be other small side trips that pop up along the way. Here is a quick peek of my future travels in 2016.

February- Spain Along with a group of 22 educators we will discover big cities, little towns and everything in between. I love these trips because we get a chance to visit schools and talk to educators and students from another country. Stops during our 11 day tour include: Madrid, Toledo, Granada, Seville, Cordoba and Barcelona.

April- Greece A bit of a different trip, this one will be with my sister Nancy and our college friend Lauren. Three girls exploring Athens and Santorini, what’s not to love?

June/July- Finland, Sweden, Russia, Amsterdam, Austria  I have to confess, this is the trip I am most looking forward to. After a Baltic cruise last summer with my family, I fell in love with Scandinavia. With extended family living in Turku, Finland this trip back this summer is more than just exploring a favorite country. After making contact with our distant Teravainen relatives I am thrilled about making plans to meet them and getting to know where my mum’s family is originally from. My sister and I will be spending 3 weeks in Finland, with some side weekend trips, and another week and a half to do a little traveling in Europe before heading home to the states.

My camera sure is going to get a workout this year!
